MIAST (Member of the Institute for Architectural Science and Technology) is a professional recognition awarded to façade practitioners who demonstrate proven competence and ongoing commitment to professional development.
 MIAST is open to current IAST Façade Intelligence Professional (FI PRO) Members who meet the eligibility criteria below. FI PRO Membership gives candidates access to the professional development resources and assessments required to achieve MIAST.
 Recipients of the MIAST credential demonstrate: • Façade design and engineering knowledge, verified through recognised IAST assessments and qualifications. • Applied understanding of façade systems, performance principles, and delivery requirements. • Ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) through structured learning activities with knowledge assessments. • Practical application of façade expertise on real-world projects. • Commitment to recognised professional standards within the façade sector. • Professional credibility with clients, contractors, specifiers, insurers and regulators.
 Applications are verified against IAST records before the credential is awarded. Disclaimer: This certificate confirms that the named individual holds current professional membership with the IAST, based on an assessment of competence carried out at the time of admission/renewal. It is not a technical check, review, certification or approval of any design, calculation, product, service or piece of work, and must not be relied upon as such. IAST accepts no liability for reliance on this certificate for any purpose other than confirming membership status. Current membership can be verified via the IAST member register or by email to admin@iast.uk. The IAST reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership, and withdraw this credential accordingly, where a member is found to be associated with unsafe or negligent professional practice within the façade industry, or found to have acted in a manner contrary to the standards, values, or interests of the IAST.
